    A22 live guarded connection preflight passed: claude-haiku-5-5, high effort, adaptive thinking, provider-default sampling, max_tokens 128000, empty tools, unchanged benchmark messages plus the declared SDK identity sentence. Starting six dev smoke games (one per tier), then all 460 dev games only after --verify. Python 3.13.13; Apple M4 Max 128 GB local orchestration, hosted inference hardware unknown. Manifest episode seeds; model unseeded. Full transcripts remain private.

    A22 passed connection preflight but smoke stopped (exit 5) when the guard blocked a CLI continuation after one complete text-only response with tool_use stop. No actual tool call or second forwarded inference. score --verify passed with zero finished games. All raw files retained. Before rerun: return first API response unchanged so ordinary malformed scoring applies, and explicitly set thinking.display=summarized; the CLI setting alone had left summaries omitted.
